Paris Gallery Weekend 2017 is an invitation to discover and rediscover 31 galleries, 40 exhibition spaces, 99 artists and 5 partner institutions over two days, in various neighborhoods of Paris, from Matignon to Pantin, from the Marais to Saint-Germain, by way of Concorde and the 13th arrondissement!
Enhancing the Paris art scene internationally is the relentless ambition of CHOICES, which organizes this journey through modern- and contemporary-art galleries for the 4th year. Collectors from around the world, amateurs, professionals and simply curious people will gather to appreciate the quality of these art-market players’ curatorial work, to support the vitality of the French scene, to understand contemporary creation.
Paris is a major cultural capital thanks to the dynamics of its museums, foundations, fairs, festivals and galleries, which develop an essential cultural offer and reinforce France’s international attractiveness.
All the participating galleries hope that this two-day flurry of activity in galleries will convince you to come back throughout the year.
Created in 2014, CHOICES organizes the Paris Gallery Weekend, among other events.
In 2017, CHOICES is collaborating with Talking Galleries for Open Conversations at the Centre Pompidou.
Every year, CHOICES organizes the series of talks “Cycle de Rencontres” and develops partnerships in France and abroad in order to promote joint initiatives by artists, gallery owners, businesses, collectors, public institutions, private institutions, etc., supporting art and creation.
